Remembrance Day is on November 11 and is celebrated because of the armistice that it signifies: the winning of the greatest of wars. However, not many remember that April 9, 1917 was the birth of a nation, the birth of Canada in many respects as this was the day that the assault on Vimy Ridge began.Please take a moment to remember the brave souls that died beginning tomorrow, 10,000 in all.
