Message from the CEO
Dear valued members of the public,
I am writing to you today to reaffirm our company’s commitment to ensuring accessibility for everyone in the security industry. We firmly believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, secure and included, regardless of their physical limitations, and we are committed to making this a reality.
To achieve this goal, we will be implementing a range of measures to ensure that our security solutions are accessible to all. These measures will include providing training
for our staff to ensure they are equipped to handle the needs of all customers at both our residential and commercial locations, ensuring our hiring practices are fair towards
all applicants and our Head Office facilities are fully accessible.
We understand that accessibility is a critical issue in the security industry and we are committed to being a leader in this area. We believe that by making our security
solutions accessible to everyone, we can help to create a safer and more inclusive society.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to working with you to achieve our shared goal of ensuring accessibility for all.
Sincerely,
Nick Vetere

Our Commitment to Accessibility
Regal Security Inc. is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive environment for all individuals as set out in the Accessibility for Ontarian’s with Disabilities Act, 2005
(“AODA”).
Regal Security Inc. is committed to ensuring equal access and the ability to equally participate for people with disabilities. Our commitment is to treat people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence while keeping in mind the safety of those individuals and the safety of the general public. We strongly believe in integration and providing individuals impacted by disabilities the ability to play a productive role in society. To achieve this goal, we will work towards removing and preventing barriers to accessibility by meeting our accessibility requirements under Ontario’s accessibility laws.
Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (MYAP) Outline:
Customer Service
Regal Security Inc. understands the customer service standards that need to be met in order to progress as an organization in the present day. We have committed to training
our staff on how to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities, in a way that allows them to have the same opportunity for services as the general public.
Moreover, we welcome feedback from the general public which allows us to reevaluate our operations, which has led to the development of a specific feedback system. A
designated email has been set up for this purpose and we ask the public to submit any feedback they may have directly to info@regalsecurity.com. We will also ensure we are
taking action to identify/address barriers that may prevent persons with disability from providing feedback, which includes setting up more than one method of providing
feedback i.e. phone calls to head office, emails and in-person meetings as required. This exhibits our commitment to addressing any accessibility issues that may arise
during our day-to-day operations.
Information and Communications
Regal Security is committed to communicating information in a way that is accessible and available to people with disabilities. We are in the process of implementing a
specific feedback system on our website, where we welcome suggestions from the public regarding the accessibility of information to ensure it is readily available to all
members of the public. Furthermore, we are making changes to our website to ensure our web content is generally more accessible to persons with disabilities. Upon request,
we will arrange for publicly available information in accessible formats if required.
Employment
Regal Security Inc. is committed to fair and accessible employment practices. We identify as an equal-opportunity employer who does not discriminate against candidates
based on their disabilities. There are a number of steps we have taken to ensure equal access for persons with disabilities to our jobs, which include providing
accommodations throughout the hiring process to applicants with disabilities. Applicants are advised to notify our recruitment team in advance of any accommodations which
may be required to ensure an equitable and just recruitment process. Additionally, we have removed barriers which prevent persons with disabilities from physically accessing
our head office, including removing the need to take stairs as well as having fully functional handicap washrooms on site as well. Regal Security has implemented a
restaurant-style lunch room as well to ensure everything that is needed is easily accessible to persons with disabilities without suffering undue hardship.
Training
All employees will be required to complete mandatory training modules as per Ontario’s accessibility laws and the Ontario Human Rights Code as it applies to people with
disabilities. In addition, training modules will be reviewed periodically to ensure they are up to date with the latest policies and procedures that have been implemented by
governing bodies. Furthermore, additional training information and tools are available on a voluntary basis for any Regal employee who would like to further educate themselves
on accessibility.
